about

Conceptually/Musically -
The sequel to "Submarine To Subconscious".
A song sung by Brother Slumber, the Sleepless & Reciter.

lyrics

The verbal use of my mouth has been restrained; detained
It's your reaction(s) - The expressions on your face...
It's the unreasonableness, the selfishness
It's the lack of response to the love that i give
And i find myself losing out on sleep
So i blame 'The Sleep Thieves'

Slumber:
"Follow my eyes to where my subconscious lies,
You'll see a great man & a dead one...
We count our good deeds on one hand
But we leave ourselves in hindsight; behind
So stuck on our knees we live
In perfectly pleasing aesthetic sentiment
And close our hearts to the darkness inside"

Reciter:
"Ask me a question, i'll build you a clock
i'll take my time to deliver as thorough as i am mocked!
Brother in slumber, we share the same dreams
The dreams dreamt with eyes open
Sights set to widescreen
Eyes towards the sky, feet on solid ground
The children peacefully asleep, such a beautiful sound
We'll continue this fight against these things!
Despicable, terrible decrees, we call: 'The Sleep Thieves.'"

If this is the end, then this is the end
We'll try to defend sleepless children
Who'll become the men that will amend
The fallacies the world accepts as reality
Oh, if this is the end, then this is the end
Diligence, my friend! Diligence!

Slumber:
"They don't believe in me
They don't believe in you
They don't believe in us
They don't believe in us
They don't believe in me
They don't believe in you
So let your flower-like eyes bloom!
And observe all the colors
We've left some room to discover
Foreshadowing Faces!
Listen intently, listen now!"

Reciter:
"Am i reaching your heart yet?
Reaching your heart..."

i blame 'The Sleep Thieves'
Because they don't believe in me
Brother in slumber, we share the same dreams
We share the same...

Brother Slumber:
"Days that shine gold in my eyes
Become like sun spots at night
Black holes take me in
Cold friction like fiction
Collectively sigh...
Empty out your heavy minds
After all, I just want to touch
The smolders of decaying release
The pull between the moon
And the aftermath of you
Shells that hide the human teeth
Reciter, do you know of sleep?"

Reciter:
"The Neon Race, Brother Slumber...
My Race...is asleep."
